Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 12, 2026

findqr.app (“we,” “us”) is operated by Caspi Projects, based in Israel. This page describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.

What we collect

When you sign up and use the service, we collect:

  • Account data: your email address (required to sign in)
  • Profile data: any contact info you choose to save (name, phone, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.). This data is shown publicly when your QR sticker is scanned.
  • Sticker data:which sticker codes you've claimed, when you claimed them, and their status (active, lost).
  • Order data:if you purchase through our store, your shipping address and payment details (handled by Shopify and Stripe — we don't see your card details).
  • Scan logs:we record when your stickers are scanned (timestamp only — not the scanner's identity).

How we use your data

  • To run the core service (showing your profile when a sticker is scanned)
  • To send order confirmations and shipping notifications
  • To respond to support requests
  • To improve the service (in aggregate, never identifying individuals)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the service. Each receives only the data necessary for its specific function:

  • Supabase — our database and authentication provider (stores your account and profile)
  • Vercel — hosts the website
  • Shopify — handles purchases and order fulfillment
  • Stripe — processes payments (we never see your card details)
  • Google — only if you sign in with Google (we receive your email and name, nothing more)
  • Israel Post or chosen courier — for shipping your physical stickers

Public profile visibility

The data you put in your profile (name, phone, Instagram, etc.) is publicly visible at the URL findqr.app/s/[your-code]— that's the entire point of the product. You control exactly which fields you fill in, and you can update or remove any field at any time. Anyone scanning your sticker (or visiting that URL directly) sees only the fields you chose to fill.

Your rights

Under Israeli privacy law (`חוק הגנת הפרטיות`) and standard international practice, you have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate data (your profile is editable in your dashboard)
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Export your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these, email hello@findqr.app and we'll respond within 14 days.

Data retention

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently remove your profile data within 30 days. Order records are retained for 7 years for legal and accounting purposes.

Cookies and measurement

Some cookies are necessary and always on: the ones that keep you signed in, and the ones Shopify needs to run checkout. You can't turn these off without breaking the service.

Separately, we advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and we'd like to know which ads actually bring people here. If you agree, we load the Meta Pixel, which tells Meta that a visit or a purchase happened and lets us measure our advertising. It does not read your profile, your stickers, or your scan history.

You can switch it off at any time, right here, and it stops immediately in this browser. If you're visiting from the EU, the EEA or the UK, we don't load it at all until you say yes — we ask once, in a bar at the bottom of the page.

The scanner page at findqr.app/s/… never loads advertising code at all — someone who scans a lost item is not a marketing audience. Turning measurement off changes nothing about your account, your stickers, or your scan history.

If you're in the United States

We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We don't trade, rent, or hand your details to data brokers.

Under California law, letting an advertising platform measure our ads counts as “sharing” even when no money changes hands. That applies to one thing only: the Meta Pixel described above, which tells Meta that a visit or a purchase happened. You can switch it off in the Cookies section above, and it stops immediately. We also honour the Global Privacy Control signal — if your browser sends it, we treat it as an opt-out without you having to ask.

Whatever state you live in, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email hello@findqr.app and we'll respond within 30 days. We won't charge you or treat you differently for asking.

findqr.app is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us details, email us and we'll delete them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy materially, we'll update the date above and notify active users by email.
